VSCC Lakeland Trial - 7th November

On Saturday members and friends of the club marshalled on 2 hills, in the Lakeland trial. We were stationed in Wythop woods, on Slate Fell (Where Eagles Dare) and Nanny's Peep (Falcon's Crest). Wythop woods has been closed for 2 years so the forestry could harvest the trees, and is dramatically changed since the last time it was used. The weather was relentless, and by the time we had finished, we were all soaked to the skin and back again. However, we all managed to enjoy ourselves, and it was very interesting to see how these sections run without tree cover.
