Myke Pocock receiving the award from Simon Woodall, ACTC President.
Myke Pocock and Fred Mills made the 600 mile round trip to the ACTC (Association of Classic Trials Clubs) Annual Dinner and Awards on the 22 June. They were there to receive the 'Trial of the Year 2012' Award. This is the second time the 'Northern Trial' has won this award, the previous time was for the 2007 event. Our success is thanks to all the help and support we receive from all our volunteer marshals and officials, as well as The Forestry Commission, Lake District National Park and the local Police Force.

We gathered at Blagill on a beautiful sunny morning. Between us we brought five Marlins, a Skoda Estelle, a DAF 66, and a Dutton Melos. Unfortunately Mike Lawn's Sylva was out of sorts with faulty differential. We were very please to welcome a contingent, from Ullswater Community College, of four pupils, a teacher and several parents as our special guests. The 16 year olds are on a motor engineering course and brought along a Mitsubishi which they use as part of their training. If you look at the Photos you will see how well their little car ran.
