Sunday 21st July saw our second visit this year to Blagill, nr Alston, this time for the 'Try Again PCT'. There were seven competitors, unfortunately two people who had hoped to compete were missing because of ill-health and a poorly car. The day started off cloudy and warm and ended up sunny and very warm. The venue is the site of an ancient lead mine and can be really boggy when wet, this time it was dry and dusty. Ross Theobald, who was equal first on the 'Blagill Bash PCT' was unable to defend his title owing to holiday commitments. The overall winner was Mike Lawn with Linda in his beautiful little Sylva J16. Unfortunately John Grainger, who had been going well up to that point, retired with what appears to be earthing problems on his Dutton. Myke Pocock burned out his clutch right at the end of the day. We ran five rounds of five sections.
