Many thanks to the members who came along on Saturday to help prepare two new sections for the trial. They were, in no particular order:- John Grainger; Roy Glanville; David Sharp; Derek Reynolds; Alexander Jefferson; Myke Pocock Tony Branson; and Fred Mills. Six of them travelled from the north east and two came from Cumbria which seems a little odd for a Cumbria based club.
The sections were first used last month by the VSCC on their Lakeland Trial, unfortunately no one mamaged to make it off the start line and they were fairly rapidly cancelled. Hence the need for a working party, We levelled off the route by filling in the ruts and also created a run-off to take away the surplus water. These have the potential to be first class sections and really only need to be used a few times to bed them in. We have definitely lost the use of Wythop Woods and will be using sections in Hobcarton instead. There will be a club meeting on Wednesday 10th December at 8pm in the Howard Arms, Brampton. Please come along, we shall be discussing the final route etc for the Northern Trial.
