PCT, New Classic Trial & VSCC Lakeland Trial

Durham Auto Club have decided to go ahead with organising a Classic Trial in their home ground of Durham. The provisional date is 25th May, two weeks after the Ilkey Trial. They have considerable experience in organising Rallies, PCAs etc. and we have offered to help them create their event.

FSAC were in charge of 'Hill 17' during the VSCC Lakeland Trial. There were some doubts about the viability of the section in the mind of the C0fC when he gave us the paperwork. This is a section we used to use on the Northern when we called it Osprey's Lair. It was incredibly wet and muddy which wasn't a problem until competitors began to reach the upper stages where they had to be towed/winched to the holding area at the top. By lunchtime it became clear that it was taking too long for each car to attempt the section and we were holding up the Trial, so after some persuasion of the organisers the section was abandoned. This gave us the opportunity to check out a potential new section for the Northern on our run to Lorton with the paperwork etc..
