Since the Northern Trial the club has had a fairly quiet time. Our Springtime Treasure Hunt/Run weekend, The Moors Meander was held entirely within the North Yorks National Park and was won by David and Christine Chamberlin. The Autumn Adventure was organised by Chris and Diane Veevers and covered a varied and compact route around west Northumberland and east Cumbria. Attempts at organising Car Trials were thwarted by bad weather (snow blizzards) or lack of entries. Club members have acted as marshals on the two local VSCC events as well as entering the Yorkshire Dales and Durham Dales Trials, as well as the MCC big three.
Preparations are now well under way for the Northern 2018 to be held on 17th February. The core organising team have been joined by a youngster, Peter Dive. Peter enjoys both driving cars and riding motorbikes and has entered the Northern on his bikes. It is very good and useful to have the input and advice from a biker when setting up the trial. We are holding a meeting specifically to discuss the Northern Trial on Wednesday 29th November at 8pm in the Howard Arms in Brampton
